Your residence permit (without a work permit), takes an average of 1.5 months, and includes the performance of certain formalities, the regulated status of sojourn of foreign nationals in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

When applying for registration of residence in the department of registration of aliens must submit the following documents:

1. Passport.

2. A copy of the contract to purchase real estate.

3. 4 color photos.

4. An excerpt from a local bank confirming the account person submitting the application, the amount of money not less than 4.000 pounds, which is the minimum subsistence level of per person per year.

5. Postage stamps.

6. Help from the village chief (Muhtar) on a residence in the TRNC.

After filing application with the documents listed above, the Department of Alien Registration is issued direction to the mandatory medical examination at the Central State Hospital in Nicosia.

In some cases, the department of registration of foreign nationals may require additional documentation from applikata.

Based on past practice, a residence permit for foreigners owning real estate is not difficult, and is issued in the usual manner, after complying with the necessary formalities due to the current legislation.
