We are pleased to offer Chelsey Village apartments for rental throughout the year. These great apartments are ideal as both a short-term and long-term holiday accommodation on self-catering basis.

Facilities

Furnishings and further details:

The apartments are furnished to a high standard throughout and are fully air-conditioned. The kitchen has fitted cupboards and worktops, cooker and extractor fan, fridge freezer, stainless steel sink, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle. The main bedroom has a large double bed (or 2 single beds upon request) with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and lamps. The guest bedroom will typically have two single beds in a 2 bedroom apartment. There are one or two bathrooms depending on the apartment layout. The open plan kitchen and dining room have sliding doors leading onto the private terrace.

Our representative will meet you on your first day to give you information on the apartment and the local area. They will also be available in case you encounter any problems.

Mid-stay clean and change of towels and bedding is optional at £30. Please bring own beach/pool towels.

How to get there

With the relaxation of border controls between the North and South of the island it is now possible for tourists visiting Kyrenia to freely use airports serving the South and then transfer to the North. The effect of this significant change in travel arrangements is dramatic, with over 18 UK departure airports to choose from.

You can either fly to Ercan Airport (North Cyprus) with approximately 45 min stopover in Turkey or fly direct into Larnaca Airport (South Cyprus).

Transfer times by car are approximately 25 minutes from Ercan Airport and just over an hour from Larnaca Airport.

If you would like us to arrange transfers from Ercan Airport or Larnaca Airport to your accommodation at Chelsey Village, one way transfer from Ercan Airport is £35 and Larnaca Airport is £50 (both paid locally).

We can also organize car hire at £18/day for a Ford Focus or similar, inclusive of full insurance and collision damage waiver. The car would be delivered up to your accommodation at Chelsey Village on the day required.

Driving is simple and is on the left hand side of the road as in the UK.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Our staff in the UK will be pleased to help you with any travel arrangements from finding the best priced airline tickets to arranging your transfers and car hire in North Cyprus. Our staff in North Cyprus will be pleased to welcome you and ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

In order to secure the booking, a 25% non refundable deposit is required, with the outstanding amount to be paid no later than 4 weeks before the departure date. It is possible to book the apartment for additional days, should you wish to do so. This will then be charged at the relevant daily rate.

We will require a deposit of £100 which will be returned to you upon moving out and once the apartment has been checked. Please note, for long term rentals we will deduct water and electricity bills (using meter readings) from £100 deposit.

Rental rates

The Kyrenia Region

Kyrenia is the main town on the North Cyprus coast and is approximately 10 minutes drive from the apartment. It is a bustling community that provides all of the amenities you should require but at the same time it is not very commercialised. The historic town has a harbour and castle as well as numerous shops, restaurants and bars. Other close attractions include the fairytale St Hilarion Castle and Buffavento Castle with its panoramic views.

The area boasts a number of high quality and reasonably priced restaurants. Locations range from Kyrenia centre and Harbour, to beachside restaurants to others situated in the mountains. The closest restaurant to Chelsey Village is the newly opened ‘Klepini’ restaurant in Arapkoy offering mouthwatering Turkish cuisine (just 5 minutes walk away).

There are many opportunities to discover ‘underwater’ Cyprus. Through local accredited diving schools there is plenty of opportunity to experience diving through shipwrecks, open water diving and deep sea diving, as well as being able to watch the remarkable experience of the green turtle laying her eggs or discover hatchlings on the beaches. North Cyprus beaches hosts some of the most important nesting beaches of the green turtle in the entire Mediterranean.

On land, there are many tourist hot spots of castles, monasteries, convents, museums, galleries, parks and scenic villages just waiting to be explored and high quality modern leisure facilities, including the new 18 hole Alagadi Golf Course, just a 10 minute drive away.

Farther afield one can visit Nicosia, park near the Kyrenia gate and follow the blue line around all of the main sights in the Turkish part of the city. Historic Famagusta is worth a visit along with the Roman ruins of nearby Salamis with its spectacular amphitheatre. A day drive will take you to the Karpaz peninsula with its turquoise sea and deserted sandy beaches.

Arapkoy

Chelsey Village is situated on a raised plateau in the peaceful area of Arapkoy, (traditionally an agricultural settlement) and is now an area of serenity and comfort. Local shops and restaurants are just 5 minutes walk away.

Arapkoy is centrally located between the old, picturesque harbour of Kyrenia just a 5 minute drive away to the west and the closest beaches of Acapulco, Alagadi Turtle Beach, Lara Beach and the modern Vogue Beach which is a 5 minute drive away to the east. The newly opened Koriniem Golf & Country Club is 10 minutes drive away. Ercan Airport is only 25 minutes away by modern road infrastructure.

The neighboring village of Catalkoy has an excellent selection of local restaurants and bars, and if you are feeling a little more adventurous try Malpas Hotel Jazz night with its dimly lit lights and fantastic live music.

The village of Bellapais (well known for its magnificent Gothic Abbey) has many more restaurants on offer with breath taking views of the whole of Kyrenia area.

Excellent supermarkets are now available throughout Kyrenia and Catalkoy and two are situated within five minutes drive. Mini market is 5 minutes walk away in Arapkoy Village.

Most people in Northern Cyprus speak excellent English. However, ‘tesekur ederim’ means ‘thank you’; ‘merhaba’ means ‘hello’ and ‘luften’ means ‘please’.
